The program

This program aims to train professionals in any function within corporate communication, from stakeholder management, branding, and reputation management, to advertising management, public affairs, and internal communication, so that on completing the course, participants will have gained a strategic vision of the full spectrum of communication management functions.

Students will acquire the knowledge they need in order to carry out these functions with maximum efficiency, creativity and professionalism, using the necessary tools and techniques in the most appropriate manner at all times. They will also gain a comprehensive overview of corporate communication, including an integral view of a variety of communication functions in the different communication areas, both inside and outside the organization.

On completing the program, students will have acquired a set of communication skills and abilities that will enable them to successfully pursue their professional careers. These skills can be divided into six areas:

  • 1. The analytical and decision-making abilities needed to understand a business situation from a communication perspective, dealing with complex situations and distinguishing essential aspects from incidental ones.
  • 2. The research skills needed to conduct formative and evaluative research, in order to facilitate socially-responsible decision-making in the company and increase students' confidence in their own ideas.
  • 3. The ability to synthesize, so that the above mentioned analysis is not just an intellectual exercise, but rather a tool for mastering any situation they are faced with and developing action plans.
  • 4. The interpersonal abilities needed to convince those who will be involved in implementing ideas to accept them.
  • 5. The ability to work as part of a team, so that students are able to accept the ideas of others that might complement their own viewpoints and together find the most appropriate solution to communication problems.
  • 6. The Media, multimedia and oral skills, acquired through sessions in the MediaLab (television, editing and digital newsrooms).

The Advantage

Students graduating from other programs learn how to support strategic decisions with suitable communication plans and channels. Going one step further, our students will be trained to provide the insigth that is needed to facilitate strategic decision-making. It is this that will differentiate them from others in the job market.
